Alberta Rural Coalition on Housing & Homelessness (ARCH2)

ARCH2 was created by RDN (formerly the Alberta Rural Development  Network or ARDN) in Fall 2016 so that rural Alberta communities can learn from each other and advocate with one voice for solutions to rural housing issues. These are some of the things we do:

  • Improve data collection so that issues around rural housing and homelessness can be better understood
  • Identify common issues and their solutions, and speak with one voice to address those issues
  • Raise public awareness about rural housing and homelessness
  • Identify resources and best-practice models that work in rural settings and share that information with all rural communities
  • Create information-sharing and in-person networking opportunities for rural stakeholders

Anyone in Alberta who is interested in rural housing and homelessness can join. These are some of the benefits of being a member:

  • Can join the planning committee for the National Symposium
  • Can receive and contribute to monthly bulletins to stay up-to-date with member activities and achievements
  • Will be among the first to know about funding opportunities
